I don’t think I’ve ever been so confused with the meaning of my existence
Who I am and who I am meant to be
My mind and my heart forever locked in a never ending conflict
Brought on by the fear of never being who I was brought up to be
I have spent my life face down in the dirt afraid to become the man my mother sees

Sleeping away these feelings running from the pain of existence
Trying to escape the hollow feeling in my chest
Brought on by the poison thoughts which plague my mind and taint my heart
Too many times in this life I’ve been let down
Burn the memory of this loss in my mind forever
Cracks begin to show in a once unbreakable soul

I’ll never live another day with hope
I will lay down and not fight back
Breathless lungs until the very end
